Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this course for?

This course is perfect for anyone eager to launch a plastic recycling project, whether you want to make it your full-time job, explore new materials as a designer, set up an educational NGO in your community, or create a side hustle for extra income. It caters to complete beginners with a vision, as well as those who already have equipment but are struggling with results. Plus, it’s ideal for individuals looking to positively impact their community by turning plastic waste into valuable products.

What equipment do I need?

You don’t need a big industrial setup to benefit from this course. Our Equipment Bot links to small-scale simple, budget equipment that can help you kick-start a complete recycling studio and make professional design products.

We recommend using the Equipment Bot like a shopping list before you start the course so you have all the tools on hand when you are ready to start learning.

How much money do I need to set up a workshop?

A total studio setup, with all machines and tools, costs approx. EUR 4000 ($4300). That's much less than starting up a cafe or pizzeria, but we, of course, understand that it's a sizeable sum. Like any startup, such a setup requires investments.

You can also begin with a smaller budget and starting from EUR 450 (USD 500) you can already start creating and selling items from plastic waste.

Why pay for this course when there are free tutorials online?

Free videos are great for inspiration but are usually fragmented and not adapted to small‑scale setups. We had to learn it the hard way, spending years experimenting with DIY equipment and making mistakes, so you don't have to go though the same painful process.

In this course you get a clear path from zero to a working recycling workspace, safety guidance, and downloadable resources – all organised in one place so you don’t waste years on trial and error and thousands on unnecessary or complex equipment.

How many people do I need to start recycling?

It's ideal to have at least two people, but if you're just starting out with smaller orders, you can begin solo. We handle production, social media, and marketing as a duo. One person could manage all tasks, but it would require full-time commitment.

Can I pay in parts/installments?

Yes, you can pay in installments by choosing the Klarna option at checkout. Klarna is supported in Greece, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.

We can also set up a personal payment plan, requiring full payment prior to the start of the course. This can be done in installments. For further assistance, please email us at hello@recycledin.store.

Is the course live or on-demand?

The course is pre-recorded for flexibility and different time zones; you can watch it at your own pace. Only the livestreams and Q&A sessions are scheduled in advance.

What’s the duration of the course?

The course duration varies based on your chosen plan, from 1 to 3 months.

Do I lose access when the course is over? Can I extend?

Yes, after the course is over, the access to our videos closes. Every plan has a subscription option to prolong viewing and support access.

Will equipment be provided?

No, the course cost doesn’t include equipment. However, for select plans, we assist in sourcing equipment through our digital equipment bot.

Do I need to get the equipment?

Yes, it’s recommended to obtain the equipment from the Equipment Bot before starting, especially if you plan to recycle. This way, you can start using it while watching the modules.

How much space do I need?

You need at least 5-10 square meters (approximately 50-100 square feet) for machinery and workspace. You will need more space to store plastic.

What productions are covered?

We cover heat pressing and CNC cutting for HDPE and PP plastic. Modules 6 and 7 include full guides on cutting plastic sheets, found nowhere else on the web!

Do I get support?

Yes, two of our plans include support via chat, email, and video calls during Q&A sessions and livestreams.

What language is the course in?

The course is in English, but we can provide AI-translated subtitles upon request.

Is it safe?

Working with plastic is not entirely risk-free due to debates about microplastics, but we teach you the safest practices with safe plastics (HDPE and PP).

Do you guarantee sales?

No, we do not guarantee sales. Success depends on your marketing and sales efforts, although the recycled plastic market is growing a lot right now and consumers are opting for eco-friendly alternatives.

What is client referral? What is the graduates map?

We can't promise client referrals; however, we have successfully referred several orders totalling over EUR 9,000. We typically make referrals when shipping isn't practical—maybe it’s too far, we can’t get it there in time, or you have special production techniques like larger sheets or injection molding. Plus, our graduates map shows that you’ve completed the course and have the right skills and equipment! Local clients can easily find you on the map and reach out to you directly. We're all in this together!

How much can I expect to earn?

Earnings vary. As a full-time endeavor, you can earn a decent living; as a side hustle, it may bring in less.

Do you share ready CNC files for making products?

Yes, we provide two modules on CNC cutting and product design for sale preparation. We also share several ready files for cutting and making your first home design products and accessories.

Which platform is used for the course?

You can access the course directly on our website by logging in with the email you used at checkout.
